What ZipFolk does — and doesn't do — when neighbors buy, sell, rent or hire each other.

ZipFolk connects, it doesn't control

ZipFolk helps users discover and communicate with neighbors, businesses and local providers. Unless expressly stated otherwise, ZipFolk does not employ, supervise, direct, recommend, insure, license, certify or control users or their work.

ZipFolk does not set transaction terms or collect a commission from ordinary user-to-user transactions.

You decide who to work with

Users are responsible for evaluating identity, qualifications, licensing, permits, insurance, pricing, condition, legality and suitability before interacting or transacting.

Smart, safe habits

Meet in a public place when you can, and tell someone where you're going.

Inspect goods, rentals and completed work before paying in full.

Use a written agreement for larger jobs, rentals or deposits.

Ask for and check licenses and insurance when a job requires them.

Follow local laws, permits and HOA or landlord rules.

Be cautious with deposits and payment apps. Never pay with gift cards or wire transfers to someone you haven't met.

Something went wrong?

Report the profile or listing in the app so our team can review it. For crimes or emergencies, contact local authorities.

These policies are written and maintained by the Zipfolk team.
